In order to express negative opinions toward intellectual beings, the author of this excerpt, includes clever syntax, a changed perspective, and fully utilized diction . The author, originally starting negatively, alters the atomosphere by using unique phrases and vocabulary like "cathcing newts" and "spiders" and including an exclamation point, which, with a change is diction, transforms the tone into a more positive one.
